Scale
Main Ingredients
- 2 cups semi sweet chocolate chips
- 14 ounces sweetened condensed milk
- 1/4 cup butter

- Add Peppermint Extract: Stir in 1/4 teaspoon peppermint extract until the fudge mixture is smooth and well combined.
- Spread the Fudge: Pour the mixture onto a parchment-lined tray and spread evenly with a spatula to about 1-inch thickness.
- Add Topping: Sprinkle crushed mini candy canes evenly over the top of the fudge, if desired.
- Chill: Refrigerate the fudge until firm and set, then slice into 36 small squares.
- Store: Keep the fudge in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to one week.
Notes
- This fudge gets a festive lift from the peppermint extract and crushed candy canes, making it perfect for holiday celebrations.
- If you prefer not to use a microwave, melting the ingredients in a double boiler on the stovetop works very well.
- Ensure the fudge is spread evenly to achieve uniform slices.
- Store the fudge chilled to maintain texture and freshness.
